The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) administers six different types of Offender Education Programs and approves individuals to become instructors for these courses. The University of Texas at Austin, Gulf Coast Addiction Technology Transfer Center, handles the registration for persons who have been approved by DSHS to attend the Instructor/Administrator training classes.
